Tucked away in the serene outskirts of Berchtesgaden, Gästehaus Alpina welcomed us warmly for our New Year's retreat. Our cozy room boasted modern amenities, including a flat-screen TV and a private balcony to soak in the mountain views. Despite the occasional rumble of trains passing by, we slept soundly each night. The hearty breakfast spread fueled our days of exploring the nearby ski lifts and hiking trails. The friendly hosts, though mainly German-speaking, made us feel at home with their hospitality. A lovely stay for those seeking a peaceful escape in nature's embrace.
